Keel public anchors

keelregistry.com/anchors

On the first day of each month, Keel computes one SHA-256 hash over the latest fingerprint of every live book on Keel, and publishes it here with the list of fingerprints it covers. Nothing about any firm, company or person can be recovered from either. Anyone holding a book's export can check that the book stood in that form when the anchor was computed.

Certificates and exports issued by firms name the anchor month. This page is the public counterpart of that reference. Its dates are Keel's own record; a copy of a month's value kept outside Keel, for example in signed board minutes, shows the date independently.

No anchors have been published yet. The first is computed on the first day of the month after the first live book is sealed. The row above shows the format and anchors nothing.
How to check this
  1. Take the export the firm gave you.
  2. Check every fingerprint with sha256sum -c entries.sha256, as its README says.
  3. The manifest names an anchor month and the fingerprint that was rolled up; find it in that month's list.
  4. Compute the SHA-256 of the list and compare it with the roll-up.
  5. If all pass, the book stood in this form, up to that entry, when the anchor was computed. Keel is not needed for any step.

Exports and inspection packs list each entry's hash value and the algorithm, to enclose with a certificate under s.63(4) of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023. Keel does not sign any certificate; the party and the expert do.
